Children's party

Time for a children's party? Book a fun and exciting party experience with us at Östergötlands museum! We offer two different party concepts; a smaller package where the museum is mainly responsible for premises and access to equipment, and a larger one where activities, gift bags and juice/coffee are included. Bookable times are Sundays at 10 am – 12 pm or at 1 pm – 3 pm. Recommended minimum age for parties at the museum is 5 years.

Package 2

SEK 190/child (minimum 10 children, maximum 15)

  • Creation in Ateljé Rut (make your own party hats)
  • Treasure hunt in one of the exhibitions (choose one of the below) or free play in Viljan's world*
  • Access to kitchen (freezer, fridge, hob, coffee maker)
  • Porcelain, glasses, spoons, cake spatulas
  • Gift bags for all children
  • Gift for the birthday child
  • Décor for the venue such as pennants and wax cloths
  • Juice for all children
  • Coffee and milk for accompanying adults

Book a children's party

If the entire booking is cancelled later than 10 working days before the arrival date, the customer will be charged 20% of the total amount of the booking. We charge for the number of people booked, which is confirmed via written confirmation between the customer and the Östergötlands museum.

Other information

You get access to the room 45 minutes before. Two accompanying adults need to attend the children's party. An adult should also participate during the treasure hunt together with the party host, while the other accompanying adult may prepare coffee in the studio. Accompanying adults enter the museum for free. 

The party can last for two hours. If you choose package 2, a party host is included during the entire party who holds the treasure hunt and lays out wax cloths.

After the party, you clean up and tidy after yourself. Take care of dishes, fill the dishwasher if necessary and wipe the tables, empty the trash and sweep the floor. Cleaning equipment is available in the premises. Thanks in advance!
